Hello, Sheddies!

Welcome to the email that celebrates all things shed - this week I will post some of my current favourite entries to #shedoftheyear also a few links to interesting shed stuff that has been posted online.

Enjoy, Wilco

Amazing Sheddies

We look back at a previous winner to inspire your friends & family to enter their shed.

This winning shed from 2016 is the West Wing

A fascinating shed that was made over a long time, before shed of the year was a thing - then our paths crossed!

My shed is made from 90% recycled materials ,It is a project that has taken me 8 years to build(health reasons, won't bore you)the roof is wild turf but because of angle I used 400 milk cartons cut in half, which took a year to collect, popped holes in and layered bottom with shingle for drainage.

Entries for #shedoftheyear 2021

Some great new entries for this year, including

A very good pallet shed

A hobbit inspired shed - we get a few of these of the years since the original LOTR Films came out, but this is a great example.

Interesting sheds

Previous entries that are piquing sheddies interest online.

I have been on Twitter for 14 years - talking about sheds - and as it's t I did a thread of my favourite 14 sheds of all time (this seems to change all the time - but hey that's a sheddies prerogative), will just post a few here , You will need to got to the thread to see them all!

ShedSocial

Geeky Kids of the 80s (hands up) will remember Tim Hunkin, he of Channel Four television series The Secret Life of Machines, well he's back on YouTube (from his workshop) - great to teach your geeky kids about stuff

Big fan of Kerry's tidy shed

Talking of Retro stuff , geek Jason Bradbury posts some great 80s/90s tech always worth a watch/listen - his retro gaming videos are worth a watch as well.

Your Builds

If you are starting a shed build in your garden, could be storage, office, pub, workshop & definitely if it's a folly, then let me know as I would like to follow the progress and pass it onto the sheddies who are maybe looking to do the same.
