Behind the shed - A weekly email about sheds - Issue #4

Welcome to the email that celebrates all things shed - today I will post some of my current favourite entries to #shedoftheyear also a few links to interesting shed stuff.

As you have signed up (or been previously interested in #shedoftheyear), you will get the chance to win a book from this library at the end of Feb (so stay connected) and I will pick someone and contact you.

Enjoy Sheddies

Firstly...

It's finally hit me that I have been doing this for 15 years - I was young when I started - I'm 50 this year !

Amazing Sheddies

We look back at a previous winner to inspire your friends & family to enter their shed.

The allotment roof shed created by Joel won in 2014, is a very interesting shed as he put his garden on his roof but also used to shed for his art and his music - a very talented sheddie Joel

Joel has gone onto great things since his Shed of the year win - he builds brilliant sheds for people and is also currently the small garden expert on the BBC show #YourGardenMadePerfect

Entries for #shedoftheyear 2021

Some great new entries for this year

Great to see businesses being run from a shed, have you been doing it during the lockdown?

This impressive build that is all hi-tech but a chill out space

Interesting sheds

Previous entries that are piquing sheddies interest online.

It's just a bit mad

This workshop shed is getting a lot of likes/looks on Pinterest at the moment - it's not surprising it's a great space.

ShedSocial

What did you do in the lockdown? Daniel and his son built a Saxon house - which is very shed like (and has now entered it for 2021)

Shed Stats

Working on stats and the most popular counties when it comes to entries to #shedoftheyear, Essex has the most entries

Your Builds

If you are starting a shed build in your garden, could be storage, office, pub, workshop & definitely if it's a folly, then let me know as I would like to follow the progress and pass it onto the sheddies who are maybe looking to do the same.

Spread the #shedlove #shedoftheyear

And finally...

We officially launched Shed of the year 2021 to the media this week, and it's been busy but even after 15 years I'm loving it - the sheds are on fire!

IF you or your friends and family have a great shed that you think will make it as #shedoftheyear 2021 then sign up
