Hello, Sheddies!
Welcome to the email that celebrates all things shed - I will post some of my current favourite entries to #shedoftheyear also a few links to interesting shed stuff that has been posted online.
Enjoy, Wilco
#shedoftheyear 2021
Many thanks sheddies, we had some amazing entries this year, over 300 sheds entered.
We will pick a short list in a few weeks (and email the finalists) Watch social media for the list.
The public will then be able to vote on readersheds.co.uk for each category.
We will then pick a winner from these finalists.
Here are a selection of entries for this year - we have not looked at the long list yet - so these are just great sheds.
These sheddies that named their shed after the fella who fixes their lawnmower (they have a big lawn!) now have a new shed to go with it
Iwan's sister shed - structure completed. Solid as a rock. 🙂 #shedoftheyear

I was chatting with an old friend he asked what sort of shed I would like to retire to - I made a list of course
Not a shed but lovely model making.
My client, and now friend @watko has bought a new tiny Hillman car to go with the diorama of the Mansfield Granada I made for him. He's just sent me these pics, which he's given me permission to share with you. Nice to see an old friend.

There is something artistic about this - maybe it's the two sheds
We have rain.
I’m excited, why?
Because it’s filling our brand-spanking-new water butt (see it lurking by the shed, hiding behind the bush).
I know.
I’m easily excited.— Stewart Bint (@AuthorSJB)

I love a shed by the sea, and Kathryn is the queen of Beach huts and other beach architecture history.
Been on @BBCSussex this morning talking about #beachhuts because there has apparently been a 41% rise in demand this year. The average price is now £36K - IF you can find one for sale. Where would you choose?

I love sheds and I love coffee, so this coffee shed in Manchester is interesting
The latest addition to @SadlersYard, Dinosaur has landed and offers a new opportunity for morning coffees and pastries, whilst also providing the perfect spot for collaboration between @NOMA_mcr neighbours, future occupiers, and the pioneering projects of the future.

Interesting sheds
Previous entries that are piquing sheddies interest online.
Why have one shed when you can have loads - lovely sheddies as well >"Down at the bottom of the garden.... a little village of sheds. Around the there's a mini theatre, a pub made from old harmoniums, the start of a railway station" #shedoftheyearreadersheds.co.uk/share.cfm?SHAR…

maybe #notashed but a thing of skill & beauty -Bottle Dome - "My shed is a dome made with about 5000 glass bottles set between crossed arches - like a huge hot-cross bun." Natures-Haven from Herefordshire #shedoftheyearreadersheds.co.uk/share.cfm?SHAR…

Your Builds
If you are starting a shed build in your garden, could be storage, office, pub, workshop & definitely if it's a folly, then let me know as I would like to follow the progress and pass it onto the sheddies who are maybe looking to do the same.
